Navigation & menus

A segmented control with a pill that slides and stretches between options, keyboard-first.

Numbered pagination with ellipses, a sliding current-page marker and prev / next arrows.

A horizontal step indicator: the connecting line fills as you advance and finished steps turn into ticks.

An icon toolbar whose single tooltip glides between buttons instead of fading in and out for each one.

Text tabs with an underline that slides to the active tab while the panel slides in from the direction you moved.

Breadcrumbs that collapse middle levels into a … menu when space runs out, keeping the first and last two visible.

Settings-style vertical tabs: a bar slides along the left edge to the active tab and the panel cross-fades upward.

A table of contents that tracks the section in view: a marker slides to the active heading and clicks scroll smoothly.

A mobile tab bar with a sliding indicator, badges that clear on visit, a centre create button and tap-again-to-top.

A contacts-style list with sticky letter headers and a side A–Z rail you can tap or scrub, plus search and multi-select.
